Did you know that the average child will go through $2000 worth of disposable dipes before they are potty trained? And that’s just one child–if you have more, just keep multiplying! Our families solution is cloth diapers. Here is my extremely simple recommendation: 9-12 Fuzzi Bunz, that’s it! These are pocket diapers-meaning that have a waterproof exterior or PUL, interior fleece lining to wick moisture from baby’s booty and a space between the fleece and PUL to stuff what will absorb “the wetness”. They are simple, tons of cute colors, great design and good fit. My 27 monther and 9 monther are both in size M…so to only have to buy a set of size S and M to get your babe through NB to potty training is a good deal! Though FB come with their own free inserts, I much much prefer the Nurtured Family contours microterry insert and think they are worth investing in–so much more absorbent and trim through the legs.
I’m also a huge fan of prefolds and covers (mainly wool). But that’s for another day. So get started with Fuzzi Bunz and see how simple it is. Oh, and there is a discount for buying 3 or more at a time, cha-ching!
