Nothing says good morning quite like a carmel macchiato made by my spousal.  I don’t know what was more pleasing: the perfect execution of the difficult drink or the fact that all ingredients for said drink were already in our kitchen and being put to good use.  Definitely both.  Definitely.

PS…and if you want to know how to get the milk/coffee separation, because I was curious as well, I will share…oh fine, I’ll just give ya the whole drink run down start to finish: shot of vanilla syrup*, milk*, ice* to the top of the glass, slow pour 1 shot of esspresso*, drizzle top with carmel sauce*, straw!
