When we were a couple weeks away from Catcher’s due date we took Tee to Build-A-Bear to  make his lil brother a gift.  On the “passport” birth date we chose his due date, December 11th, 2007 and thought we’d go back and change it after we knew his real birth date.  Turns out he was born on December 11th, so we haven’t been back.  Tee chose a soft bunny with long, cuddly ears.  We put a heart inside that would beat when you squeezed it and stuffed it loosely for maximum hug-ability.  While naming the bunny, we were stuck.  I can’t even remember the non-creative ideas we had…but then, we realized much of what Tee said at that point in his life (18 months old) sounded the same.  “Shoes” were “Goos”, “Goldfish crackers” were “Goos” and so were “Fish”.  If you asked Tee what he wanted, more often than not it was either “A goo” or “A goo”  :).  So we named the bunny “Agoo” to set in memory the fleating sounds of our home during Catcher’s first days of life.  I am so thankful we did…the memory is set and cherished by that little bunny named Agoo.  I can still hear Tee’s tiny voice and inflection sometimes.

I began this blog in the early fall of 2008.  When trying to think through a name, again, many generic ideas passed on through.  But I thought back to Agoo and started listening more to what our house sounded like early fall of 2008.  We could have gone a few ways with this…blog “mama”, blog “uh-oh”, blog “my penis, mine” or a myriad of versions of “where are all the cars”.  But if you listened closely in our home around lunchtime each day, when asked what he wanted, Tee would always respond, “blueberry lunch” (with a confident shake yes of his head).  And for a treat, I would sometime let him have the whole carton…which he’d consume in about 8.9 seconds.  There you have it, a tiny memory of sweet sounds typically only this mama hears from her babes.  How quickly those moments get swallowed up by the next new moment and memory.  While Tee still often asks for blueberries, he never calls them blueberry lunch.  However when I think of that mid day meal, I will always think “Blueberry Lunch”…
