In the spring of 2001 I was living in Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy and studying architecture.  We were in Rome this day and it was rainy and cold.  Some fellow classmates had bought coffee, so we were able to sit at the cafe tables.  They had long left me but I was holding tight to that seat by a heater with my sketchbook, pencil and a front row view of the pantheon.  Amazing.  Feels like yesterday.  One husband, 3 kids later.  More years have passed than I really feel.
